Hurricane Katrina had a huge impact on a great many people...the entire United States really...I'm not interested in political argument or commentary anywhere near this deviation. This is an emotional thing for me..I really don't give a rats back legs about whose fault what was and when at this point. I have only just found out that a friend's neighborhood at least only had minimal impact making it likely that she and her family are all right, although we still haven't managed to contact her...

I used my favorite little emotiguy in this piece and his friend...to hopefully create some kind of impact...I also used over 40 scrolls with names of cities and towns that were in the path of Katrina...I searched for as many as I could find...I'm sure I missed a lot, but I don't think I could have fit any more as it ended up. Some can't be seen..but they are there.

Please respect my wishes and do not bring hate messages about my president or anyone else in the U.S. whom you despise or find fault with to my deviation. =)

EDIT: Someone brought the fact that Hurricane Katrina has its own category to my attention so I've moved this piece into that section.

EDIT 2: This print is now available and all proceeds from purchases are going to the Salvation Army, an organization that helped my children and myself out of a crisis situation and allowed us to stand on our feet again.

That was really eerie......... (Thank you lol) I was sitting here...and running thoughts through my head...and thought.."oh well I guess noone cares really much." about katrina..and things and it was just a mini dark cloud thing and then right after I had the thought your comment was here...The eerie thing was that it was immediately at the tail end of the thought. =p or maybe I need some sleep... Thank you..ramble ramble ramble. :hug: How is your kiddo doing, by the way?

Wow, this is so....this is great...good job...I never experienced anything to the extent of Katrina, but I lived in PR for several years and while I was living at my grandmother's house I saw it destroyed several times. I've seen the devastation left behind...this hits close to home...:blahblah: sorry rambling. I'm happy emotiguy is not alone...

I haven't been able to volunteer too much time to the cause but my family and I have donated money to the Red Cross...I hope this makes as much of an impact to everyone else (and that they respect your wishes) as it has had on me. Thank you :heart:

This is nice, you know that the hurricain disaster has it's own category right? You should move it there.
I know it must have been hard for you to get that emotional feel from such cute/silly characters. You did a nice job.

:hug: Thank you so much! I'm rendering a gigantic version right now...and deciding whether to plop it into my print account. I don't know if anyone would buy it, but if they did then I would have money to send to the red cross. =D... the downside is that I am not really wanting to add money to the dA wallet right now...I'm really nervous about that.

He's alright, busy in school. He'll come home for a few days next month. I love my boys.

I have a lot of family affected by Katrina. Found most of them except a few cousins, still trying to find them.
