The weather has been so insane here in NH... Spring has been popping through holes in Winter for the past few weeks, confusing the plant and animal life...
People don't know whether to pack away their snow shovels or carry them around while checking on budding flowers in their gardens...
I'm certainly not complaining... although when the pile of snow that dropped into my yard a few weeks back disappeared, I was reminded that I really should get out into that back yard and clean up the acres of stuffing that Elsa (German Shepherd nutcase girl) tore out of a pile of old dog beds that had been sitting quietly on the cellar bulkhead for years.... It just seems like such a daunting job... and she loves running and sliding through all the white puffs... Life is madness here...
As I type, I hear my mother happily popping bubble wrap in the other room... her favorite activity right now. I think it really does soothe her and give her mind something to focus on. I experience pangs of sadness that she is reduced to that, but also am so relieved that she is enjoying something at all.
I'm still making lots of art, some of which I don't get around to uploading to dA. I'm also playing Skyrim... I caved in and bought it when it was on sale at STEAM a month or so ago... Talk about escaping reality... Haha... Alas, I got sucked into the cheap midweek and weekend sales at steam though... Oi... Still... games and art... my great escapes. I'd likely be a complete basketcase by now otherwise. I love my mom, but as I've said before... sometimes I wish there was at least one other family member to take on some of the load so I could go have a day off now and then.
Anyway... keep making art! And any of you reading this, pop in a quick hello here if you'd like...
*Rushes off to steal a piece of the bubble wrap*
